Barrel saunas
A barrel sauna has a cylindrical shape: the smallest footprint of all the types and an even temperature along the whole cabin. Ten models for 4 to 6 people with solid 44 mm walls in spruce or thermowood, from 4 825 € including delivery and installation.
A barrel sauna has a cylindrical shape, which takes up the smallest footprint of all the types while keeping the temperature evenly distributed. The range has ten models for 4 to 6 people with solid 44 mm walls in spruce or thermowood, from 4 825 € including delivery and installation.
Why the cylindrical shape
A cylinder has no corners for the air to stand in. Hot air rises along the vault, falls down the opposite wall and returns to the heater — the circulation happens by itself and the temperature is even along the whole cabin. The second consequence is volume: for the same seating area a barrel sauna has a smaller internal volume than a square one, so it heats up faster and burns less fuel. The third is the footprint — Forest Arc needs 250 × 244 cm and gives an interior of 228 × 227 cm with a height of 206 cm.
Solid 44 mm walls: spruce or thermowood
The structure is solid timber 44 mm thick — spruce as standard or thermowood at a surcharge. Heat modification lowers moisture absorption and increases dimensional stability, so the sauna moves less as damp and frost alternate. On a structure that stands outside all year, that is a difference you see after a few years. The external colour finish is optional; the structural parameters are the same on every version.
Interior and standard equipment
Loungers and benches are made of lime — a resin-free species with low thermal conductivity, suitable for direct contact with skin. Doors and windows are tempered glass, which lights the cabin without any loss of safety. Integrated ventilation, the electrical installation with a Harvia light fitting, a decking-board floor and a bitumen shingle roof are standard.
Ten models and their prices
| Model | Capacity | Price from |
|---|---|---|
| Forest Arc | 4 people | 4 825 € |
| Forest Barrel | 4 people | 4 849 € |
| Forest Bow | 6 people | 5 333 € |
| Arctic Pod | 4 people | 5 450 € |
| Forest Loop | 4 people | 5 939 € |
| Forest Curve | 6 people | 6 316 € |
| Forest Ring | 6 people | 6 833 € |
| Forest Wave | 6 people | 7 184 € |
| Forest Orbit | 6 people | 7 567 € |
| Nordic Barrel | 6 people | 8 200 € |
The difference in price comes from the size, the timber version and the equipment — not from the quality of the structure, which is the same on all of them.
Heater and installation
On every model you choose between an electric heater of 8 or 9 kW with a thermostat and timer (it needs a 400 V supply) and a wood burner of up to 22 kW, which needs no power supply but does need a chimney and feeding. The sauna arrives as a finished unit and is set down on a level, solid surface with no building work. Other types of construction are listed under outdoor saunas.
What is in the price
Insulation, delivery to the place of delivery in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, installation and commissioning, a 2-year warranty and our 4-year service. The lead time is 4 to 12 weeks from payment of the deposit. You put your configuration together in the configurator, and the calculator works out the running costs.
Frequently asked questions
Is a barrel sauna the same as a keg sauna?
Yes, these are two names for the same shape — a cylindrical structure built from long timber slats drawn together by hoops. In our range you will find it under the Barrel type.
Why is a barrel sauna cylindrical?
A cylinder has no corners, so hot air circulates naturally and the temperature is even along the whole cabin. For the same seating area it has a smaller internal volume than a square sauna, so it heats up faster.
How much space does a barrel sauna take?
The least of all the types. Forest Arc needs a footprint of 250 × 244 cm and gives an interior of 228 × 227 cm for 4 people. On a narrow plot it is, together with the square CUBE profile, the most suitable choice.
What timber is a barrel sauna made of?
The walls are solid timber 44 mm thick — spruce or thermowood, depending on the version chosen. Loungers and benches are lime, a resin-free species with low thermal conductivity that does not become too hot to touch at 90 °C.
Can a barrel sauna be used all year round?
Yes. The structure is designed to stand outside all year, and thermowood copes better with alternating damp and frost. Heating up takes longer in winter.
Modular system
Precise configuration
Configuration takes place within defined variants that maintain stability, safety and material integrity.
The result is a solution that naturally fits into the space and supports long-term regeneration.
