Marine Grade Vinyl

Marine Grade Vinyl is a specially engineered synthetic material designed for extremely humid, sun-exposed and mechanically demanding environments, originally developed for the marine industry. It is a multi-layer, PVC-based material with protective additives against UV radiation, mould and water. In the wellness sector, it is used mainly for hot tub covers, thermal insulation covers, headrests and exterior upholstery. The surface is non-porous, waterproof and resistant to the chemicals used for water maintenance. The material retains its flexibility and strength even under prolonged exposure to sun and moisture. Marine Grade Vinyl is a standard for components that are continuously exposed to weather conditions.

Advantages of Marine Grade Vinyl

  • High resistance to water and moisture: The material does not absorb water and prevents the formation of mould and degradation.
  • UV stability and long-term colour retention: It withstands direct sunlight without cracking or fading.
  • Longer service life for hot tub covers and upholstery: It reduces the need for frequent replacement of components exposed to the exterior.
  • Simple cleaning and maintenance: The smooth surface allows quick removal of dirt without special products.
