2. Session recordings and heatmaps
In addition to regular website statistics, we use behavioural analytics tools to improve the usability of our website: Smartlook, Microsoft Clarity and Contentsquare. These tools are loaded through Google Tag Manager and only start once you have given consent for statistics cookies.
What these tools record
- mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and other interactions with the page;
- the pages you visit, the time spent on them and the order in which you move between them;
- technical device data – browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution and an approximate city-level location derived from a truncated IP address;
- a recording of your visit and aggregated heatmaps.
How we protect your data
- Form field content is masked automatically – we do not record the text you type into forms, nor passwords or payment details.
- We do not use the recordings to identify individual people. They serve solely to find errors and improve the usability of the website.
- We process this data on the basis of your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the cookie settings.

We have data processing agreements in place with these providers. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or by certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Retention period: session recordings and the related data are kept for a maximum of 13 months, after which they are deleted automatically.
