AISI 304 is an austenitic stainless steel containing roughly 18% chromium and 8% nickel, and it is among the most widely used stainless grades in manufacturing. The chromium forms a thin passive oxide layer on the surface that protects the material from oxidation and re-forms by itself after scratching. In wellness construction, AISI 304 is […]

Chromotherapy is a technology that uses coloured LED lighting to influence the user’s psychological and physiological state during wellness procedures. In hot tubs, saunas, and cooling tubs, LED lights are integrated directly into the structure, most often below the waterline or within the cabin interior. Modern systems use energy-efficient RGB LED diodes that allow colour, […]

An integrated heater is a sauna heater built directly into the sauna structure, most often beneath a bench, behind a protective panel, or into a wall. Unlike traditional freestanding heaters, it is not a dominant visual element but is architecturally integrated into the interior. The heater works on the same principle: electric heating elements heat […]

ThermoWood is timber modified through a controlled thermal process at temperatures of approximately 160–215 °C in an oxygen-free environment, without the use of chemicals. The treatment reduces moisture content and breaks down part of the hemicelluloses, which substantially improves the material’s dimensional stability. The wood becomes more resistant to rot, mould and biological pests. It […]

Incoloy® 800 and Incoloy® 825 are high-performance nickel-iron-chromium alloys engineered for extreme temperature and corrosive conditions. They are used as the material for heating elements in electric heaters for hot tubs, bathing water, and wellness systems. Their high nickel and chromium content gives them exceptional resistance to oxidation, corrosion, and chemical damage caused by disinfectants […]

The WiFi module & smart control is a communication hardware accessory that connects a hot tub, sauna, or cooling tub’s control pack to a home WiFi network and a mobile app. The module acts as a bridge between the device’s local electronics and a cloud-based or local control interface. The user can remotely monitor system […]

Sauna stones are natural or volcanic rocks placed on the sauna heater’s heating element, where they store heat and release steam (löyly) when water is poured over them. A suitable stone must withstand repeated sharp temperature shocks without cracking or breaking apart, so dense, homogeneous rocks such as olivine, peridotite, or vulcanite are preferred. The […]

Komaxit is the regional term for a powder coating based on epoxy and polyester resins, applied to metal surfaces by an electrostatic process and then cured by baking at high temperature. In wellness structures, it is used to finish steel and aluminium components such as heater frames, structural fittings, or metal parts of pergolas, where […]

A sauna heater, or stove, is an electric or wood-burning appliance that heats the air in the sauna cabin and simultaneously heats the sauna stones placed on top of it. Pouring water onto the stones produces a short burst of humidity (löyly), which raises the perceived temperature without changing the actual air temperature. Electric heaters […]

Siberian larch is a coniferous species with high density and natural resin content, used outdoors primarily for decking boards under pergolas and around saunas and hot tubs. Slow growth in a cold climate produces a dense, finely structured wood grain with higher mechanical strength than common Central European conifers. High resin content acts as a […]

Harvia lighting is a range of lighting solutions from the Finnish sauna technology manufacturer Harvia, designed for both sauna interiors and exteriors. It includes light strips, spotlights and fibre-optic sets that are installed into the ceiling, benches or around the cabin door. The products are designed to operate at the high temperature and humidity of […]

RGB lighting is a colour LED lighting technology based on combining three primary colour diodes, red, green and blue, which mix to produce a wide spectrum of colours and shades. In hot tubs, saunas and cooling tubs, RGB diodes are integrated into the structure, most often below the waterline, into benches, or into the cabin […]

Pine cladding is an interior or exterior covering made of pine wood, used for the walls, ceilings or facade elements of saunas, pergolas and wellness structures. Pine is a softwood species with a light, strongly figured surface and visible knots. In its raw state, it has higher thermal conductivity and resin content than species intended […]

PVC flooring is a polyvinyl chloride wearing layer intended for areas in permanent contact with water and high humidity, such as shower zones, the surrounds of hot tubs, or the technical areas of wellness cabins. The material is supplied as homogeneous or heterogeneous sheets or tiles, which are welded into a continuous, watertight surface without […]

Ventilation is a system of controlled air exchange in a sauna or wellness cabin that supplies fresh air and removes moisture and heat once use has finished. In a Finnish sauna, air flows from the inlet vent near the heater towards the outlet vent on the opposite side of the cabin, creating even airflow without […]

PAROC 10 cm is a 100 mm thick stone (mineral) wool insulation used mainly for the roof and floor in sauna and wellness cabin construction. The roof and floor face a larger temperature difference against the exterior than the walls, so they require a thicker insulating layer to maintain a stable cabin temperature. The material […]

Spruce wood is a softwood species commonly used in Central and Northern Europe for wall cladding, structural elements and exterior decking on saunas and pergolas. Spruce has a light colour, a straight grain and a lower density, which makes it easier to work and reduces structural weight. In its raw state it has higher thermal […]

Aspen wood is a soft hardwood commonly used for sauna benches, backrests and other interior contact surfaces, thanks to its low thermal conductivity and light, even appearance. Aspen contains no resin, which eliminates the risk of a sticky surface or heat-induced staining. The wood has a low density and a fine grain, keeping the surface […]

Lime wood is a soft hardwood used in sauna interiors for wall and ceiling cladding, and in some cases for benches. Lime has a light, almost white colour, a fine, even grain with no pronounced knots, and a low resin content. These properties reduce the risk of staining or a sticky surface at high sauna […]

Metal roofing is a covering made from shaped metal sheet, most commonly coated galvanised steel or aluminium, used on saunas, pergolas and wellness structures. It comes as trapezoidal profile, standing-seam panels or tile-effect sheets, with individual strips joined by overlap or seaming that keeps the roof watertight without fasteners penetrating the covering surface. Compared with […]

PAROC 5 is a 50 mm stone (mineral) wool insulation used mainly for wall cladding in sauna and wellness cabin construction. The material is produced by melting basalt and other mineral raw materials at high temperature and spinning the melt into insulating fibre boards. The fibrous structure traps air in small pockets, which limits heat […]

Bitumen shingles (hexagonal) are roofing materials made from a glass or organic base mat impregnated with oxidised or modified bitumen and coated with mineral granules. The hexagonal shape creates a distinctive honeycomb pattern, which ensures even overlap and effective water drainage. This type of roofing is used on the roofs of saunas, pergolas, garden sheds […]

Tempered safety glass is a type of glass that has undergone a special heat treatment process involving high-temperature tempering followed by rapid cooling. This process alters the internal stress of the material and significantly increases its mechanical strength and resistance to temperature changes. Compared to ordinary glass, toughened glass is 4–5 times stronger and is […]
